This month we welcomed this transitional season with a 2 hour retreat.
Our theme that represents the autumn season was FALLOW
Fallow is ground or soil which has been unplanted for a period of time. Fallow land is left to rest, regenerate, pause. It allows the soil of a field to replenish its nutrients.
Allowing ourselves to be in this fallow season defies our culture’s obsession with productivity and efficiency because it demands patience and lingering, allowing things to percolate and come to fruition in their own time. While fallow season can feel extraordinarily difficult, it can also invite us into a deep time of shedding patterns and behaviors that keep us from living our most wondrous, wild lives AND cultivating what feels meaningful and true going forward.
