Wisconsin Summer Wedding at Turtleback Golf and Banquet
This Wisconsin Summer Wedding at Turtleback Golf and Banquet was such a priviledge to photograph. Erica and Austin’s wedding was everything a bride and groom would want their special day to be-tons of family and friends, gorgeous weather, and lots of fun. They were married at Dobie Catholic Church-one of the most incredibly beautiful places in all of NorthWest Wisconsin that you could get married, and their reception was held at Turtleback Golf Course. The church and the reception was packed full of people because everyone simply loves these two so very much-what a great day!
I really love starting the day off with the bride getting ready in her own home. Home is such a wonderful warm place and I love when the bridesmaids and close friends gather to help the bride look her best on her wedding day.
Makeup was done by the incredibly talented Taylor Hanson-a friend of the bride.
Erica was so kind as to purchase all of her bridesmaides these incredibly beautiful robes to get ready in.
I had searched high and low for a place to hang the dress- After about 15 minutes I realized that I was making it way to complicated and that there was no better place to hang it than in the brides home. This is the place where memories will be made, meals will be cooked, and holidays will be celebrated, so with that in mind, it became a very important place for me to hang the dress.
A little bit of an emotional moment-so many feelings, thoughts and emotions run their course on a wedding day. Erica has some of the greatest friends to comfort her and be by her side.
The bride is so fashionable and I knew her shoes would not disappoint.
On the way to the most beautiful church ever
The bride’s taste is truly exquisite-the flowers for the wedding were a fern theme-classic, elegant and timeless-much like the bride.
The groom and his sweet mom having a moment together before the ceremony.
Time to walk down the aisle.
The bride was more than ready to see her groom for the first time that day.
Often times at weddings, there can be emotional moments.
I truly loved they way they looked at one another.
And they are finally husband and wife.
See…?? Truly the most incredibly beautiful church.
The bride and groom rode in this gorgeous vintage car from the ceremony. The couple both have such old souls so this car totally fit into the feel of the day.
And of course we had to stop on the way to the reception at a very special place to both the bride and groom for a little celbratory shot. One of the great things about living in such a small area is all the little local hot spots that become important to people.
And we may have had to spend sometime in the alleyway of the bar trying to get the dress bustled.
The bride truly has impeccable taste, her centerpieces were classy and gorgeous.
The cake was beautiful and delicious-Cakes by Lisa never disappoints.
I always love the toasts-this is the part of the day where everyone gets to hear funny, heartfelt stories about the bride and groom.
Parent dances are one of my favorite things to capture on a wedding day.
And of course the bride and groom dance.
And soon after, this party started rocking. Monster Music DJ really knows how to get a party started.
Erica and Austin it was so wonderful to spend the entire day with you-thank you so much for choosing me to be your eyes for your wedding day-everything about your day was perfect and I hope you are able to relive so many of these wonderful moments for the rest of your days as husband and wife.
